Funding for the Homeless

• Assemblymember Irwin has taken action to provide critical housing in our community. She helped secure $27 million in Project Homekey funds for the construction of Thousand Oaks' first homeless housing facility.

• She also championed an additional $100 million in State Funds for the Veterans Housing and Homelessness Prevention program

• Irwin also co-authored the Care Court law that will transform how local governments can intervene and assist those with mental illness who are living without shelter but are unwilling to voluntarily receive treatment.
